The College of Human Ecology (CHE) advocates and uses interdisciplinary, holistic, and integrative approaches to understand human-environment interactions.The College of Human Ecology is one of the eleven degree-granting units of the University of the Philippines at Los BaƱos. The College started as an institute on November 28, 1974 and became a full fledged college in 1983. Since then, it has continued to advocate for a holistic and integrative understanding of the human-environment interactions and to conduct activities that focus on the fulfillment of basic human needs, resource planning utilization and management, and delivery of social services at the family and community levels. The College develops programs for research, training and community service towards a desirable quality of life for everyone.It is one of only a few institutions in Asia that offers a degree program in Human Ecology and is the first and only one to offer the degree in the Philippines. It is also the first in Asia to offer a degree program in Food and Nutrition Planning.

MISSION

VISION
The development of human-centered, self-reliant and ecologically stable communities by addressing basic human needs, resource utilization and management, environmental stability, and delivery of social services at the family and community levels in the Philippines and Asia.
